The Trap and Skeet operation is oriented with all of the firing done northward. Due to the nature of the sport, the shotguns are pointed upward for the airborne clay targets. This promotes the sound traveling a greater distance to the north. Again, the Kensington Metropark golf course can be seen just on the other side of Interstate 96.
