Scheduled Meetings

Green Oak Township Board meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 10001 Silver Lake Road (US23 exit 55 then east on Silver Lake Road).

Brighton Township Board meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the first and third Monday of each month at
4363 Buno Road (Just north of Spencer Road at US23).

Michigan Natural Resources Commission meetings (pulblc sessions) are normally held at 4:30 PM on the first Thursday of each month in Room 201 of the Lansing Center, 333 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Some meetings are held elsewhere in the state; those will be announced.

Huron-Clinton Metropark Authority meetings are normally held at 1:30 PM on the second Thursday of each month at their Administrative Office, 13000 High Ridge Drive, Brighton (at the Kensington Road entrance to Kensington Metropark). Some meetings are held at other parks and times; those will be announced.

Various governmental and organizational meetings are held regularly. Those listed below are all aware of our quest for quiet and can be instrumental in the control of the shooting range. You are encouraged to attend any of their meetings. They are open to the public. Please note that you may attend meetings of a township other than your own. Minutes of meetings that are published on the internet are linked below, along with an NRC audio recording.

Lyon Township Board meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the first Monday of each month at the Lyon Township Hall, 58000 Grand River Avenue, New Hudson. They will also meet, if necessary, on the third Thursday of the month.

This recording is an excerpt containing a summation by commissioner William Parfet regarding the

Island Lake Shooting Range. The NRC acknowledges that there is a problem with gun noise from the

range and a commitment was made to the citizens. The commission considers four possible solutions.

Livingston County Board of Commissioners meetings are held at 7:30 PM on the first and third Monday of each month in Suite 201, 304 E Grand River Avenue (Administration building east of old courthouse).
